Outreach for Veterans
I continue to be dismayed with the VA's delay in treating my fellow veterans with mental health issues. As a result, I volunteer my services—on a limited basis—for veterans who have to rely only on the VA for their mental health benefits. I am also a mental health provider for veterans with Tri-West insurance.
I was on active duty in the USAF-SAC as a Medical Services Administrator from 1957-1961. I was stationed at Gunter AFB, Alabama; Goose AFB, Labrador; and Westover AFB, Massachusets. Afterwards, I was in the active AF Reserve from 1961-1966. I left the active reserve because there were no openings for medical services administrators, when I relocated to Southern California in 1966. I retired then, as a Captain, and was assigned to the AF Retired Reserve.
